Raven Rock Farm grows ‘real’ vegetables and fruit on beautiful Pender Island, BC. We are a small farm located on a south-facing hillside, where the garden plots lie among small orchards of plum, pear and apple trees, flower and herb gardens, berry patches and nut trees. We approach our gardens and orchards as the living entities they are, and take seriously our obligation to steward and enhance healthy soil, water and biodiversity. We use integrated pest management and organic principles to build healthy living soil that nourishes the food we grow. We call our produce ‘real’, because it demonstrates the reality of naturally grown food. In 2018 we began the transition to Certified Organic.
Our season usually runs from May to September, with a continuous supply of lettuce and other greens and in-season production of most other veggies and fruits. Our produce is available at the Saturday Farmers' Market, Southridge Farms Country Store and a seasonal roadside stand. You will also find our produce on your plate at several local restaurants.
We start seedlings for both the farm and for public sales in our timber frame greenhouse, specializing in tomato and pepper seedlings.
Follow us on Facebook and Instagram to stay in the loop regarding special harvests, plant sales, roadside stands and markets.
